Pococera BRUNNAPEX Kaye 1922

Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London, 67, 991–998 [ 996], pl. I: fig. 1.

Junior subjective synonym of Chloropaschia rufibasis (Druce, 1910) (see Solis 1995).

Holotype, female, pinned:

Specimen data: “Guaico | 18 Ap ’ 15 ” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “ Type | H.T.” [Round label with red border]. “Lamont | Collection | 1950 - 16 ” [Printed] with label with “ Type ” [Handwritten in red ink], glued to it. “ Pococera brunnapex Kaye” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label]. “ Chloropaschia rufibasis | Druce female | Det. M.J.W.Cock 2002 ” [Printed].

Remarks: This Lamont specimen from Guaico, Trinidad, 18 April 1915, is undoubtedly the holotype, although the original description ( Kaye 1922) erroneously gives the date as “ 18.ix. 15 ”. However, the correct date ( 18 April 1915) is given in Kaye & Lamont ( 1927). It is illustrated in colour in Pl. I: fig. 1 ( Kaye 1922, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
