Specimen data: Holotype: No locality label. “ Type ” [Handwritten]. “ Type | H.T.” [Round label with red border]. “Lamont | Collection | 1950 - 16 ” [Printed] with label with “ Type ” [Handwritten in red ink] glued to it. “ Samea delicata Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label]. “Hileithia approprialis | Dyar male | Det. M.J.W.Cock 2002 ” [Printed].

Remarks: This specimen collected in Trinidad by Sir N. Lamont is undoubtedly the holotype. It is illustrated in colour in Pl. I: fig. 22 ( Kaye 1922, Kaye & Lamont 1927). Kaye & Lamont ( 1927) give the type locality as “Palmiste”.
