Lernanthropus kroyeri was collected from the gills of Dicentrarchus labrax .
In the Mediterranean, this species has been reported several times on the same fish species [ Italy ( Richiardi 1880; Brian 1906), North Africa ( Rose & Vaissière, 1952), Tunisia ( Raibaut et al. 1971; Essafi et al. 1984; Benmansour & Ben Hassine 1997), Mediterranean ( Raibaut et al. 1998), Turkey ( Toksen 1999)] and in the Adriatic ( Valle 1880).
