Manduca johanni (Cary, 1958) ( Fig 3. B )

General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola.

Distribution in the DR. Cordillera Septentrional, Cordillera Central and Bahoruco Mountains ( Fig 1. A ).

Habitat. Elevation 100–1800 m asl. A species of medium to high elevations in forest environments. The insect is more common in deep forests, in the most preserved primary biotopes ( Fig 9. E, F, G ).

Host plants. Unknown.
