Known distribution: Tartu (former Dorpats, Estonia) ( Braun 1885).

According to the literature, the animals are about 3–4 mm long. The eyes appear black under transmissive light. A small tail is present. Zoochlorellae are usually present. The vitellaria are net-like at the ventral side and have hand-like extensions at the dorsal side. These hand-like extensions are very typical according to Braun’s (1885) description and illustrations. The genital structures are inadequately described and therefore new material is needed to assess the taxonomical status of this species.
