The grandiculus View in CoL -group
Diagnosis. The group can be separated from other species-groups of Apanteles as follows: propodeum without either areola or median keel but with some rugae radiating from the posterior orifice; vein cu-a of hind wing always deeply incurved on the vannal lobe so that subbasal cell is always markedly different in shape; T1 always strongly narrowed behind; T2 transverse; and ovipositor sheath very long, usually at least one and two thirds as long as hind tibia.
