Details on the label of the specimens deposited in WU regarding the type locality match the data given in the protologue by Wettstein (1892: 30). It is also mentioned that Dörfler’s journey, during which he collected the material, was supported by Norbert Ritter von Schmucker, Austro-Hungarian consul in the Ottoman Empire (consulate in Skopje [“Ueskub”]). Therefore the species is named after the consul.
