Type designation. Female lectotype (AR15046) and two females, one juvenile paralectotype (AR 4169) designated here.
Distribution. Venezuela
Note. A second vial with 3 other specimens we also found with the following label information: Label 1. Museum Paris AR 4169, 9864 Idiops argus E.S., Venezuela! Idiops argus Simon 1889 , San Esteban. Puerto Cabello. Venezuela. Label 2. F.U. Yamamoto 2013, 2 females, 1 juvenile paralectotypes. We were unable to find any formal type designation in the literature by Yamamoto.
