Distribution. Japan (Honshu) ( Ashmead 1904: 81).

Remarks. Uncertain status. The type (a single female) must be found and revised.

Biology. Unknown ( Ashmead 1904). According to Monzen (1929), A. japonicus induces galls on Q. serrata (= Q. glandulifera ) (sect. Quercus ).
