Material examined — TÜRKIYE, Aydin Province, TR6-2023 stream near Şirindere , 37.9297° N, 27.7775 E, 14.iii.2023, leg. Pešić, 1♂, 1♀ (sequenced, HYDIR009-23 , HYDIR010-23 ) GoogleMaps .
Remarks — The sequences obtained from two specimens from Türkiye fell into the Lebertia variolata cluster (BOLD:ADK0996). In addition to specimens used in this study for molecular analysis, the latter BIN includes specimens from Montenegro and Macedonia morphologically assigned to L. variolata and one private sequence of a non-identified specimen from France (GBMIN118138-1). Lebertia variolata is a characteristic inhabitant of streams that regularly dry up in the summer ( Gerecke 2009).
