For synonymy, redescription, and distribution see Huber (2011: 34) and Huber et al. (in press). This species does not seem to be rare in Sri Lanka, but has only recently been reported from the island ( Yao et al. 2016; Huber et al. in press). It does not seem to enter buildings but occurs in disturbed habitats around villages and sometimes even in relatively well preserved forests.
