Notes
Fitton and Rotheray (1982) doubted whether the few British specimens identified as nigricorne were distinct from ornatum. One apparently British specimen in BMNH (Capron coll., no other details) is nigricorne (det. Broad and Klopfstein). Beirne (1941) records nigricorne from Ireland.
