Comments. Record of Bruchidius martinezi (Allard, 1868) from Lorestan province by Borowiec (1987b) is uncertain and concerned another unidentified taxon of Bruchidius varius group (L. Borowiec's comment). True B. martinezi occurs only in the southwestern part of Mediterranean basin ( France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia) ( Anton 2010).
