Distribution in Iran. Golestan ( Khormali et al. 2002), Razavi Khorasan ( Akbari Asl et al. 2009), Tehran ( Modarres Awal 1997 as C. quadrimaculatus ; Anton 1998), Iran (no locality cited) ( Decelle & Lodos 1989; Bagheri-Zenous 2011).
General distribution. Cosmopolitan pest of stored legume seeds.
Host records. Bean, broad bean ( Modarres Awal 1997; Akbari Asl et al. 2009; Jafary-Jahed et al. 2016), cowpea, pea, vetch ( Modarres Awal 1997; Jafary-Jahed et al. 2016), gram, green gram ( Akbari Asl et al. 2009), lentil ( Akbari Asl et al. 2009; Jafary-Jahed et al. 2016), soybean (Jafary-Jahed et al. 2016).
Comments. Anisopteromalus calandrae (Howard, 1881) ( Hymenoptera : Pteromalidae ) was reported as parasitoid of Callosobruchus maculatus by Kazemi et al. (2008) and Akbari Asl et al. (2009).
