Microserica compressipes ( Wiedemann, 1823)
Melolontha compressipes Wiedemann, 1823: 91 .
Microserica brenskei Reitter, 1896: 186 , synonymized by Ahrens 2004a: 53. Microserica compressipes Brenske, 1899: 186 .
Microserica compressipes var. tjibodasia Brenske, 1899: 186 . Microserica compressipes var. unicolor Brenske, 1899: 186 .
Microserica pulchella Brenske, 1899: 161 ; synonymized by Ahrens 2004a: 53. Microserica leopoldiana Balthasar, 1932: 113 ; Ahrens 2004a: 53.
Remarks. Microserica brenskei Reitter, 1896 was erroneously described from Japan ( Ahrens 2004a: 53), based on a specimen with erroneous locality data (?Yokyakarta =?Yokohama / Jokohama [on Java]). The representatives of the Microserica compressipes -group only occur in Indonesia and Indochina, according to present knowledge. Thus, this species should be excluded from Palaearctic fauna.
