Zusammenfassung

Artbeschreibung (nach Lauber & al. 2018): Stängel verzweigt, bis 50 cm lang, dicht beblättert. Blätter gegenständig (bei Potamogeton höchstens einzelne Paare gegenständig), 1-4 cm lang, eiförmig bis lanzettlich, fein gezähnelt bis ganzrandig, mit umfassendem Grund sitzend. Blütenstand 1-3 blütig, auf 0,5-1,5 cm langem Stiel. Frucht ca. 2,5 mm lang, scharf gekielt.

Umriss rund oder oval. Grosse runde oder ovale Intercellularen. Epidermiszellen nicht verholzt.

Beschreibung (Englisch)

Culm-diameter 1-2 mm, culm-diameter 1-2 mm, center full, radius of culm in relation to wall thickness 1:1. Outline circular with a smooth surface. Epidermis smooth. Epidermis cells thin-walled all around. Chlorenchyma present, continuous peripheral belt with unlignified round cells (like a large cortex). Sheath around vascular bundles absent or not lignified. Vessel arrangement horseshoe-like. Without vessels in vascular bundles, xylem and phloem not well differentiated. Cavities (intercellulars) between parenchyma-cells net-like (honeycomb). Cavities in the center of the central cylinder.
