REMARKS
Temnothorax nylanderi (Förster, 1850) was the only species of the T. nylanderi complex known from Turkey until Radchenko (2000) raised T. crassispinus (Karavajev, 1926) to species rank and limited the distribution of T. nylanderi to Central and West Europe. In addition, Csősz et al. (2015) recently described a new species, T. crasecundus , from Balkans and Asia Minor. Therefore, we decided to exclude T. nylanderi and T. crassispinus from Turkish ant fauna. All specimens previously determined as T. nylanderi and T. crassispinus from Turkey refer to T. crasecundus .
