Type-locality: Aphyosemion rubrogaster – “Bridge on Niengé River, Gabun, 0.65524 S, 9.57355 E, elevation 61 meters”. Holotype: MRAC 2016-019-P-93. Paratypes: MRAC.

Occurrence: endemic
