Distribution and remarks: known from coastal basins in Gabon and Republic of the Congo, Kouilou and Noumbi River basins, lakes Youbi, Yangala and Koubambi and in the Bondo and Tsissa rivers. Records MRAC A1-088-P-2497 has been at first considered to be T. ansorgii but is now included in T. emili ( Walsh et al., 2019) .
