Distribution and remarks: East Atlantic: known from the Ascension and St. Helena Islands, off West Africa from the Cape Verde Islands, Senegal, and in the Gulf of Guinea from São Tome island. It has also been confirmed off Gabon. Observed during scientific dives in Port-Gentil and Cap Esterias (De Bruyne andWozniak, pers. obs.).
