Type-locality: Mormyrus walkeri – “ Ogowe River , Gabon ”. Syntypes: BMNH 1867.5.3.15-16 (2) .

Petrocephalus affinis – “ Ogooué River at Doumé, Gabon ”. Holotype: MNHN A-0894.
