Drepana fulvata Snellen sensu Strand, 1915 View in CoL , Arch. Naturgesch., A12: 164.

Tridrepana arikana: Watson, 1957 View in CoL , Bull. Br. Mus. nat. Hist. (Ent.), 4: 434.

Diagnosis. This species is distinguishable from other species in the same species group by the strongly falcate forewing apex. In the male genitalia, the uncus is longer and broader than those of other species, and the apex of the valva is broad and flat. The nominate subspecies differs from T. arikana falcipennis in that the lateral surface of each process of the male uncus lacks strongly toothed carinae ( Watson, 1957).

Distribution. China, Bhutan.

Remarks. Chu & Wang (1988, 1991) stated erroneously that T. arikana arikana was distributed in Taiwan, South China and Bhutan, and T. arikana falcipennis in China (Guangdong) and Bhutan. In fact, the nominate subspecies is only found in Taiwan, while T. arikana falcipennis is distributed in South China (Guangdong, Guangxi) and Bhutan; below, we sink T. emina Chu & Wang , described from Hainan, to be a further subspecies.
