Distribution: South Africa to Sudan and Somalia to Senegal; Mauritius and Réunion Isls (Mascarene Isls); São Tomé and Princepe; Madagascar; Assumption Isl and Aldabra Isl.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
