Notes:— The Plant List (2012) places this species as a synonym of Specklinia simpliciflora (Dod) Luer. View in CoL This species appears to have been incorrectly attributed to the genus Specklinia View in CoL by Luer (2004). The vegetative morphology (stems as long as or longer than the leaf vs. abbreviated stems less than half the length of the leaf), inflorescence morphology (infundibuliform bracts vs. tubular bracts), and geographic distribution (Hispaniola endemic) indicate that the species is attributable to Acianthera sect. Antilla .
