Key to Sistotremastrum species
We propose a modified key to Sistotremastrum species (Telleria et al. 2014), by inserting in boldface S. fibrillosum , S. aculeocrepitans and S. roseum Jaspreet & Dhingra ( Dhingra et al. 2014) as follow:
1a. Basidiome clearly odontoid................................................................................................................................................................2
1b. Basidiome smooth to tuberculate.......................................................................................................................................................3
2a. Cords with aculei, aculei farinaceous, non ceraceous, 100–250(–400) μm long ......................................................... S. fibrillosum View in CoL
2b. Cords generally smooth, aculei ceraceous 200–1000 μm long, hyphae sometimes ampullate ............................ S. aculeocrepitans View in CoL
3a. Cystidia (leptocystidia) present ................................................................................................................................ S. lateclavigerum View in CoL
3b. Cystidia absent................................................................................................................................................................................... 4
4a. Subicular hyphae with oil drops in the cytoplasm..............................................................................................................................5
4b. Subicular hyphae without oil drops in the cytoplasm........................................................................................................................6
5a. Hyphae composed by rather short and wide cells. Subicular hyphae (10−)14−18 × (6−)7−9 μm and subhymenial hyphae 8−12 × 4−5 μm.......................................................................................................................................................................... S. guttuliferum View in CoL 5b. Hyphae composed by long and thin cells. Subicular hyphae (14−)20−23 × 4−6 μm and subhymenial hyphae 15−23(−38) × 3−4 μm....................................................................................................................................................................................... S. chilensis
6a. Spores subcylindrical to allantoid 6−9 × 2.5−3(−4) μm........................................................................................... S. niveocremeum View in CoL
6b. Spores ellipsoid..................................................................................................................................................................................7
7a. Spores broadly ellipsoid, 4.5−5.5 × 2.5−3.5 μm ................................................................................................................. S. roseum View in CoL
7b. Spores narrowly ellipsoid, 4.5−6 × 1.5−2 μm................................................................................................................... S. suecicum View in CoL
