Type Locality: Argentina, Catamarca Prov., La Puntilla 1000 m.

Vernacular Names: Puntilla Tuco-tuco.

Distribution: Catamarca Prov., Argentina.

Discussion: Included in fulvus by Cabrera (1961) and Woods (1993), but considered provisionally distinct by Contreras et al. (1977) and Galliari et al. (1996) commented on the absence of data for placing this taxon in synonomy.
