The longnosed cattle louse, L. vituli , has a worldwide distribution and is a parasite of B. taurus . All our collections were from the middle of the previous century and this louse might now be rare in South Carolina. Kim et al. (1986) reported collections of this louse from cattle in Clemson, South Carolina.
