Boydaia (Boydaia) nectarinia Fain, 1958b: 180 , figs. 1–3, 1963d: 59, 67, fig. 25, 1971: 100, 109, fig. 14. Holotype in RMCA, examined.

Type host: Cyanomitra verticalis viridisplendens (Reichenow) ( Passeriformes : Nectariniidae ) from Rwanda.

Diagnosis. Hypostome with 2 pairs of setae. Setae ve present. Setae vi situated posterior to level of setae si. Sensillae SEc-type. Agenital and pseudanal series with 2 pairs of setae, each. Number of leg setae: coxae 2–1–1–0, trochanters 1–1–0–0, femora 5–4–3–2, genua 4–4–3–3, tibiae 5–3–3–3. All setae on tibia and genu of leg I similar in shape. In larvae, antaxial and paraxial claw pair of leg I subequal and sharp-ended.

Host and distribustion. Passeriformes (Nectariniidae) : CyanOmitra verticalis viridisplendens (Reichenow) from Rwanda [Southern Prov., Akanyaru] ( Fain 1958b).

Remark. Currently, ChalcOmitra senegalensis lamperti (Reichenow) and Cinnyris cupreus cupreus (Shaw) both from Rwanda (Fain 1958) are hosts for BOydaia cinnyris Fain, 1969 .
