Material examined. 1 male ( HIST), China: Hainan Province, Qiongzhong County, Limu Mountain , 110 m, 19°29'N, 109°80'E, 2013.IV.3, Y.Y. Wang & Y.L. Jiang . 1 male ( HIST), Yunnan, Tongbiguan Village , Env., 1340 m, 24°36.7'N, 97°39.4'E, 2016.VI.24–26, at light in village near river, J. Hájek & J. Růžička GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Indonesia; China (Hainan, Yunnan provinces).
Remarks. Neoperla diehli was originally described from Sumatra of western Indonesia by Zwick & Sivec (1985). Two males from China examined in this study agree well with original illustrations of the head pattern, the dorsal terminalia, and aedeagus. The color images ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ) are provided to aid in identification of the species recognized from the island province of Hainan, China’s southernmost region and Yunnan Province of southwestern China, bordering on the south, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar. Our records represent a substantial range extension for this species.
