Description. Postclypeus convex, bearing triangle dimple below frons level but no clear sulciform mark below. Vertex and pronotum twice as wide as long. Anterior margin of pronotum slightly concave. Distance between ocelli and compound eyes more than two times greater than distance between them. Scutellum nearly as long as wide, bearing three gentle concavities.
Coloration. Generally black, the female tends to be dark brown. Only three spots of yellow colour on fore wings ( Figs 1–2 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ), the first, elongate along anterior clavus margin, the second on anterior half of corium along costal margin and the third, round not touching margins, on posterior half of corium.
Size. Total length: 3 6.05 mm, Ƥ 6.85 mm, 3 fore wing: 5.28 mm.
Male genitalia ( Figs 4–6 View FIGURES 4 – 6 ). Pygofer with dorsal margin straight, posterior margin straight on lower third. Pygofer height: 1.05 mm. Subgenital plate curved, apex rounded and bearing apically a tuft of setae. Parameres with a clear dorsal extension finger shaped and a small hook on internal apical side. Aedeagus bearing anteriorly a single pointed protrusion. Posterior dorsal extension lightly cogged along its margin ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 4 – 6 ) and anterior protrusion slim and club shaped at apex.
Note. The aedeagus of this species presents some similarity in shape with A. limbata especially for the anterior pointed protrusion.
Etymology. Named after its collector Marc Attié.
