Distribution. Native to the tropics as well as Mediterranean area. Imported to North America ( Slamka 2013). This species has also been reported from Iran (Fars Province: Cherom, Mian Kotal, Sineh Sefid; and Khuzestan Province: Ahwaz) ( Amsel 1949, 1961).
