Distribution. Europe except Ireland and some Mediterranean Islands; N Africa; Turkey; Central Asia; Japan ( Slamka 2013), Iran including Golestan (Golestan National Park: Ghaleh-e Palangan, Tang-e Gol; Gorgan) and Mazandaran (Polur) Provinces ( Lederer 1871; Zerny 1939; Wieser et al. 2002).

Remarks. Ground colour of the examined specimens varies from pale yellow to yellow and grayish-yellow, with pale brown to brown markings and brown fringes.
