Distribution. Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran (central and northern parts), Greece,? Crete ( Slamka 2013). In Iran, it has been reported from Alborz (Nessa), Fars (Komehr, Komehr- Kakan Rd.), and Razavi Khorasan (Binalud Mt.) Provinces ( Toll 1948; Amsel 1961; Slamka 2013).

Remarks. This species is represented by two subspecies: Udea confinalis confinalis which according to Slamka (2013) is distributed in Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and central and northern parts of Iran; and U. confinalis graecalis in Greece, Peloponnese, Kyklades, and? Crete ( Slamka 2013). The ground colour of the examined specimens varies from creamy-yellow to lemon yellow and dirty lemon-yellow, with creamy-white hindwing. A few specimens have a pale brown patch at the apex of the hindwing.
