Taxonomical remark. Face black; inner orbit cream-yellow, with ivory triangular spot opposite antennal grooves; hind tibia yellow, narrowly infuscate basally and in apical 0.1. The species was wrongly synonymized with Mesochorus tachypus and Mesochorus brevicollis Thomson, 1886 by Schwenke (1999: 108). A detailed description and comparison of these three species were published by Vikberg & Vårdal (2017: 5–17, 19–21).
