Mesochorus (Mesochorus) riparius Schwenke, 1999 View in CoL ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 40–43 )
Material examined. UKRAINE: Transcarpathian Region : 1 ♀, 6.5 km N of Mala Ugolka, 48.153958°N, 23.370084°E, 750 m, beech forest, Malaise trap 4, 8.vii–6.viii.2015 GoogleMaps ; 1 ♀, idem, 6.viii–3.ix.2015, leg. O. Varga ( SIZK) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Only known from Germany; first record for Ukraine.
Taxonomical remark. This species is characterized by its very large ocelli (distance between lateral ocellus and eye 0.4 × ocellar diameter); very short temple; completely striate facial orbit; narrow ovipositor sheath; and infuscate hind coxa. The Ukrainian specimens differ slightly from the holotype (re-description see Riedel 2018b: 13): flagellum with 30 flagellomeres; hind coxa reddish-brown; 1 st tergite dark reddish basally. The specimens are otherwise typical.
