Material examined. UKRAINE:lvano-Frankivsk Region : 2 ♀♀, Mochary, 5 km NE of Bogorodchany, 48.505117°N, 24.352691°E, 300–350 m, mixed forest, Malaise trap 1, 4–14.vii.2014, leg. O. Varga ( SIZK) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. Northern and Central Europe; first record for Ukraine.
Taxonomical remark. This species can be differentiated from Mesochorus orbitalis by its large ocelli (distance between lateral ocellus and eye 0.5 × ocellar diameter) and mainly reddish mesosoma with brownish spots.
