Type Locality: Sudan, Equatoria, Mongalla.
Vernacular Names: Mongallan Free-tailed Bat.
Synonyms: Mops (Mops) faradjius J. A. Allen 1917 .
Distribution: Sudan, Dem. Rep. Congo, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Ghana, perhaps Gambia (see Koopman, 1989).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).
Discussion: Subgenus Mops . Koopman (1993) suggested that demonstrator may include niveiventer .
