192. Ixodes redikorzevi Olenev, 1927a View in CoL .
A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually found on Rodentia (several families), but they have also been collected from Erinaceomorpha : Erinaceidae , Lagomorpha : Leporidae , Soricomorpha : Soricidae , Galliformes : Phasianidae , and Passeriformes : Fringillidae and Turdidae .Adult ticks alone have been recovered from Aves (several orders), and rarely from Squamata : Lacertidae ; immature stages have been collected from Aves (several orders), Chiroptera : Vespertilionidae , Squamata : Anguidae , Colubridae and Viperidae , and Testudines : Emydidae ( Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Keskin et al. 2018). Ixodes redikorzevi is a sporadic parasite of humans.
M: Kirschenblatt (1934), under the name Ixodes transcaucasicus , a synonym of Ixodes redikorzevi
F: Olenev (1927a)
N: Schulze (1944a), under the name Ixodes transcaucasicus hystrix , another synonym of Ixodes redikorzevi ; see note below
L: Filippova (1958); see note below

Note: Camicas et al. (1998) state that the nymph and larva of this species are undescribed, but the descriptions and redescriptions above are considered valid. Pérez-Eid (2007), Kolonin (2009), Estrada-Peña et al. (2017) and Zhang, G. et al. (2019), among others, regard Ixodes redikorzevi as a synonym of Ixodes acuminatus , but there have been no type comparisons in any of these studies. Pérez-Eid (2007) reproduces figures of the male and female of Ixodes redikorzevi in Filippova (1977) under the name Ixodes acuminatus to support her diagnosis. Clifford et al. (1975a) consider their redescription of the larva and nymph as Ixodes near redikorzevi . Feider (1965) redescribed all stages of Ixodes redikorzevi (as Ixodes redicorzevi , a lapsus) but included several morphological differences in relation to other redescriptions, such as Filippova (1977). See also Ixodes eldaricus for its probable confusion with Ixodes redikorzevi .
