An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae ; the undescribed larva and nymph have also been collected from Bovidae ; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla : Giraffidae , Carnivora : Canidae and Felidae , and Hyracoidea : Procaviidae . There are no records of Ixodes lewisi causing human parasitism.
