217. Ixodes spinipalpis Hadwen and Nuttall, 1916 in Nuttall (1916) View in CoL .
A Nearctic species with a few records from the Neotropical Zoogeographic Region whose adults, larvae and nymphs are usually found on Rodentia : Cricetidae ; adult ticks are also common on Lagomorpha : Leporidae . All parasitic stages have been found on Rodentia : Sciuridae , and Lagomorpha : Leporidae and Ochotonidae . Adults and nymphs have been collected from Carnivora : Procyonidae , while adults alone have been taken from Carnivora : Canidae ; immature stages have been collected from Rodentia : Heteromyidae , Soricomorpha : Soricidae , Passeriformes (several families), and Galliformes : Odontophoridae ( Guglielmone & Robbins 2018, Scott et al. 2018). Ixodes spinipalpis is a sporadic parasite of humans.
