Note: there are several unclear redescriptions of all stages of Haemaphysalis cinnabarina , sometimes called Haemaphysalis cinnaberina , that have been extensively confused with other species ( Guglielmone & Nava 2014), but they are not listed here. Keirans and Restifo (1993) and Kolonin (2009), among others, do not treat Haemaphysalis cinnabarina as valid, but rather as a synonym of Haemaphysalis punctata .
