An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Carnivora : Felidae , Herpestidae and Viverridae , and Erinaceomorpha : Erinaceidae , but they have also been collected from Carnivora : Canidae and Mustelidae , Lagomorpha : Leporidae , Primates : Galagidae , and Rodentia : Muridae , Nesomyidae and Sciuridae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis camicasi causing human parasitism.
