4. Dermacentor atrosignatus Neumann, 1906.

An Australasian and Oriental species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Suidae , but they have also been collected from mammals of several orders, with some records from Squamata : Elapidae and Varanidae . There are provisional diagnoses of the undescribed immature stages collected from Artiodactyla : Bovidae and Suidae , Chiroptera : Pteropodidae , Rodentia : Muridae , and Soricomorpha : Soricidae . Dermacentor atrosignatus is a sporadic parasite of humans.
