A Palearctic species whose adults have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae ; larvae and nymphs have been collected from Lagomorpha : Ochotonidae , and Rodentia : Cricetidae , Muridae and Sciuridae . There are no records of Dermacentor montanus causing human parasitism.
