118. Haemaphysalis paraturturis Hoogstraal, Trapido and Rebello, 1963 .

An Oriental species whose adults have been found on Artiodactyla : Bovidae and Suidae , and Carnivora : Canidae , Felidae and Ursidae ; immature stages have been collected from Rodentia : Muridae and Sciuridae , Soricomorpha : Soricidae , Cuculiformes : Cuculidae , and Passeriformes : Timaliidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis paraturturis causing human parasitism.

Note: Hoogstraal et al. (1963) state that Nuttall and Warburton (1915) and Sharif (1928) confused Haemaphysalis paraturturis with Haemaphysalis intermedia , named as Haemaphysalis bispinosa intermedia .
