An Australasian species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Rodentia : Muridae ; adults and larvae have been recovered from Dasyuromorphia : Dasyuridae , while adults alone have been collected from Peramelemorphia : Peramelidae , and Diprotodontia : Phalangeridae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis ratti causing human parasitism.
