An Oriental and Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Galliformes : Phasianidae ; adults and nymphs have been collected from Passeriformes : Emberizidae , and Artiodactyla : Cervidae ; adults alone have been recovered from Passeriformes : Muscicapidae , and Lagomorpha : Leporidae ; nymphs alone have been found on Charadriiformes : Turnicidae , and Passeriformes : Sylviidae . There are no records of Haemaphysalis phasiana causing human parasitism.
