72. Haemaphysalis japonica Warburton, 1908 .
A Palearctic species, all of whose parasitic stages have been found on Artiodactyla : Cervidae ; Carnivora : Canidae and Mustelidae ; Galliformes : Phasianidae , and Passeriformes (several families). Adults and nymphs have been collected from Artiodactyla : Bovidae , Carnivora : Felidae and Ursidae , and Lagomorpha : Leporidae ; adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla : Suidae , Erinaceomorpha : Erinaceidae , and Perissodactyla : Equidae ; immature stages alone have been recovered from Rodentia : Cricetidae , Muridae and Sciuridae , Charadriiformes : Scolopacidae , and Strigiformes : Strigidae . Haemaphysalis japonica is a sporadic parasite of humans.
