An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Artiodactyla : Suidae ; the undescribed nymph has also been collected from Suidae . Adults alone have been recovered from Artiodactyla : Bovidae , Carnivora : Viverridae , and Rodentia : Muridae . Rhipicephalus complanatus is a sporadic parasite of humans.
