The record from Eritrea is not mentioned in BISCHOFF (1921), NONVEILLER (1978: 73), LELEJ (2002: 41) and PAGLIANO et al. (2020: 161). As Ctenotilla caeca is only known from the Palaearctic region, the identification should be checked.
